PSBC D2 Team
2016 squad after winning the District 1 Tournament.
The Penn State Baseball Club's Division 2 team is much like the D1 team in the sense that they were one of the inaugural teams of their league. The Division 2 team debuted with the creation of the Division 2 league in 2007. Since then, the team has been to the World Series 10 consecutive years while capturing the District 1 title 7 times and the District 2 title twice. The team has finished a runner up in the 2010 and 2015 World Series and won it all in 2011.
The idea behind the Divison 2 team is allowing time to play and grow for those who may not be ready to compete up at the D1 level. The time spent on the D2 team is to prepare guys to come up to the Division 1 squad and contribute towards a D1 National Championship. The team is continuously loaded, which boasts how much baseball talent is hidden in the nooks and crannies of the Penn State campus.
